COOKIES POLICY

The website www.cariplofactory.it owned by Cariplo Factory S.r.l. has adopted the present policy for the management of cookies that are used to improve the experience of visitors to its websites, including those which may be visited on mobile devices. The following policy  explains what cookies are and how they are used on the Cariplo Factory website.

DEFINITION OF COOKIES

Technical session and permanent cookies

Disabling technical cookies may compromise the user experience and navigation of the website. Persuant to Art. 122 subsection 1 of Leg. Decree 196/2003 (as amended by Leg. Decree 69/2012), use of technical cookies does not require user consent.

Cookies for analytics and performance

These cookies are used to collect and analyse traffic and use of a website anonymously. These cookies allow us to see if the same user returns to the site multiple times, without identifying the user. They also allow us to monitor the system and improve its performance and usability. Disabling these cookies does not result in any loss of functionality and will be addressed in more detail later. Cookies for analytics, if used directly by the site manager to optimise the site’s collection of aggregate information on the number of users and how they use the site, shall be treated in the same way as technical cookies. In such a case, as specified in the Data Protection Supervisor’s provision of 8 May 2014, the user’s consent is not required, as with the installation of technical cookies.

Cookies for profiling

These are cookies which trace user navigation, analyse behaviour for marketing purposes, and create profiles so as to deploy targeted advertising messages that relate to the interests of the user and are in line with the preferences the user has demonstrated during internet navigation. These cookies can be placed on the user’s computer only if consent has been explicitly granted in the simplified arrangements indicated in the aforementioned Data Protection Supervisor’s provision. Third party cookies

When visiting a website, cookies may be received from sites run by other organisations (“Third parties”) who may be based in Italy or abroad. An example that may be found on the majority of websites is the presence of YouTube videos, Google APIs, Google Maps, and “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn. These parts of the page visited are directly generated by the aforementioned sites and are integrated into the page of the host site. The most common use of social plugins is to share content on social networks in order to improve the user experience. The presence of these plugins means that cookies are passed from and to all sites run by third parties. COOKIES USED BY CARIPLO FACTORY S.R.L. WEBSITE

The Cariplo Factory website uses technical cookies, installed by the site itself in order to monitor how the site is working and ensure that it can be navigated efficiently. The use of the cookies described above, in accordance with Art. 122 subsection 1 of Leg. Decree 196/2003 and the aforementioned Provision, does not require user consent. Cariplo Factory S.r.l. will use the information to improve its knowledge of the way in which its website is used and to ascertain that its site functions as well as possible. This will enable Cariplo Factory S.r.l. to improve user navigation and provide a pleasant and innovative online experience.

The Cariplo Factory site does not use cookies for profiling which requires explicit consent and prior notice to the Privacy Supervisor.

As regards Third Party Cookies, we refer you to the Privacy Supervisor’s General Provision of 8 May 2014 on the subject of cookies: “There are several reasons why it would appear impossible to require a publisher to provide information on and obtain consent for the installation of cookies on his own website also with regard to those installed by “third parties”.

In the first place, a publisher would be required to always be equipped with the tools and the legal and business skills to take upon himself the obligations of third parties – thus, the publisher would be required to check, from time to time, that what is declared by the third parties corresponds to the purposes they are actually aiming at via their cookies. This is a daunting task because a publisher often has no direct contact with all the third parties installing cookies via his website, nor does he know the logic underlying the respective processing. Furthermore, it is not seldom the case that licensees step in between a publisher and the said third parties, which makes it ultimately highly difficult for the publisher to keep track of the activities of all the stakeholders. Secondly, third parties´ cookies might be modified by the third parties with time, and it would prove rather dysfunctional to require publishers to keep track also of these subsequent changes.” As indicated by the Privacy Supervisor, Cariplo Factory is not able to check third party cookies in the event that third party services are used (YouTube, Google Maps, “social buttons”), the responsibility for which belongs entirely to the third parties. Furthermore, the user is able to delete or block cookie activity at any time by using plugins for the browser and modifying their settings as directed in the various manuals contained in the browsers.

By using the Cariplo Factory website, the user consents to the use of cookies. If the user does not want cookies to be collected during navigation on the site, it is possible to modify the settings of the browser and/or mobile device so as to be notified, or choose to restrict or block cookies.
